A JetBlue flight had a close call with a drone while landing at New York's JFK Airport. The pilots reported the incident at nearly 3,000 ft. The plane landed safely, but an investigation is now underway.
The pilots said the drone hit the plane right above the cockpit. The FAA and JetBlue said a post-flight inspection did not find any damage. This is not the first time a drone has been spotted near an airport.
A helicopter pilot also reported a close call with a drone while landing at Newark Airport. The TSA is expecting a lot of people to travel this week, so be prepared for traffic.
