Gallic warriors used a variety of weapons, including longswords and spears with specialized tips for throwing or thrusting. They also wore a long shield and a helmet with cheek guards, which provided excellent protection in battle.
The Gauls were also skilled metalworkers, and they invented chainmail, a type of armor made from tightly linked iron rings. This innovation was later adopted by the Romans, who used it to create their iconic lorica hamata armor.
