We are looking at some great pictures from America's most beautiful landmarks. People are taking their Sunday Today mugs to these places and taking photos. We have a picture from Mount Rushmore in South Dakota. Anne, Beth, Gemma, and Liam are in the photo with their mugs. They are standing in front of the faces of presidents Washington, Jefferson, Roosevelt, and Lincoln. This is a very historic place and a great spot for a photo.
There are many more pictures from other places. Maisie, Heather, Hadley, and Mark are at George Washington's estate in Virginia. They are on a history trip and are visiting 10 states in 12 days. They are learning about the Civil War and other important events in American history. Dan is in Fredericksburg, Virginia, where his great, great, great grandfather fought in the Civil War. Michael and Brittany are outside Independence Hall in Philadelphia, where the Declaration of Independence was signed. This is a very important document in American history. Wes is at Arches National Park in Utah and has now visited all 50 states. He is very adventurous and loves to travel. Debbie is at Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming, celebrating her 65th birthday and retirement. Jody, Judy, and Lisa are at the Grand Canyon, which is a very beautiful place. They are all using vocabulary related to travel and history to describe their experiences.
We want to see your photos too. You can send them to us with the hashtag Sunday Today. You might see yourself on our show next week. You can also buy the Sunday Today mug online at nbcstore.com. Thank you for watching and we will see you next week. Don't forget to use vocabulary like landmarks when you talk about these places. It's also important to learn about presidents and history to understand the context of these photos.
